and they toss you aside

When you stand in front of someone
who you care deeply about
and you are invisible to them
tears and all

When all you need is a kind word
a hug, an acknowledgement
that you deserve love and their friendship
and they look right through you

that exists.
When you love someone
and would do anything
to fix things between you
and they refuse your
efforts
